Cookie Policy
We use Google Analytics 4 for visitor statistics. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent, and you can change your choice at any time.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites can store on your device to record information about your visit — such as settings, login states or usage behaviour. Related techniques include local storage and session storage.
2. Google Analytics with consent mode
Analytics cookies are only set with your consent.
The Google service loads when you open a page. Before you decide and after you decline, it sends measurement signals without cookies to Google (e.g. page visited, timestamp, browser information, consent status). Advertising cookies, Google Signals and personalised advertising are disabled.
If you allow analytics cookies, the following cookies are set:
- _ga (Google Analytics): distinguishes browsers across repeat visits. Lifetime: 180 days.
- _ga_GFKNLMDN6K (Google Analytics): stores the session state. Lifetime: 180 days.
We store your choice for 180 days as neos.analytics-consent.v1 in your browser's local storage (Section 25 (2) TDDDG) so the banner does not reappear on every page. The legal basis for analytics cookies is your consent (Section 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Details are in our privacy policy.
3. Technically necessary processing
The following technically required processing takes place as part of operating the website:
- Server log files: our hosting provider automatically records technical access data (e.g. IP address, time, page accessed). Details in the privacy policy.
- Contact form: when the contact form is submitted, an anonymised short-term counter per IP address is kept server-side to fend off automated spam submissions. No cookie is stored on your device for this.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and, for strictly necessary storage and access operations, Section 25 (2) of the German TDDDG.
4. External links
Links to external offerings (e.g. our social media profiles) are plain references. Only when you follow such a link do you leave our website — from that point on, the cookie and privacy terms of the respective provider apply.
5. Changing and withdrawing your choice
You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. If you withdraw consent, we disable cookie-based analytics and delete the Google Analytics cookies accessible to our website. Measurement signals without cookies continue to be sent.
Independently of this, you can configure how your browser handles cookies — from blocking them entirely to deleting them automatically when the browser closes. Instructions can be found in your browser's help section (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
6. Changes to this policy
If we add further services or cookies, we will update this policy and — where required — obtain your consent in advance.
